In order to work well, people need structure. We need to know what to do, when to do it, to what effect, what support we have while working on this and much more. The clear overview of: tasks, sequence, deadlines, people in the team, resources available etc. is then a perfect supporting mechanism to provide structure to employees. Additionally, employees need feedback, from their superiors and from their peers. We should encourage employees to ask for feedback and to offer it in return. In the process of boosting people, it is paramount not to forget to boost the people responsible for people –aka the human resources.
